Rebirth Of Fortune

Strategy RPG with Customizable Units!

“Rebirth of Fortune” is a tactical role-playing game borrowing the combat mode made famous by such Strategy RPGs as “Tactics Ogre” and “Final Fantasy Tactics.”Up to eight of your units battle hoards of mercenaries in turn-based, strategic combat on various terrains.
Upgrade and customize your own units to compete in a chess-like strategy game of position and power.

Goal of Game
Your eight individual units share a mutual relationship and utilize various strategies and skills according to their disposition. A devisive strategy is required to beat each of 50+ stages and various enemy AIs. If you eradicate the enemy you will be rewarded, and using the rewards fund you can upgrade your units and prepare for greater combat.

The Game Rules

1. Before combat you should customize your force and position your units within the spaces allowed. Create and position your units according to the strategy you devise.

2. When it is your turn you select your unit to move and designate the act (attack/special). One turn is limited to 30 seconds, and if your action is not completed in 30 seconds your turn will be passed to the enemy.
3. Unit color turns dark and the unit becomes disabled after it acts. It can act again when the unit color returns to normal a few turns. This attribute is related to the agility of the unit. Units of high agility have relatively short periods of time to be reactivated.
4. You can move the unit to attack the enemy within the unit's individual range of attack. You need a proper strategy according to the terrain and the attributes of your units because each unit has its own field of movement, range and method of attack, and damage value.
5. Once you select to attack an enemy unit, a white circle appears on your screen, which continuously changes its size larger and smaller. This is related to the attack power and accuracy rate. Inflict maximum damage on the enemy unit by touching the circle at its smallest. Also, the most favorable attack positions are when you are standing beside or behind the enemy unit.
6. After your unit performs its action you choose in which direction your unit will wait. The unit receives different damage values according to the direction it faces when attacked.
7. The jeweled icons and gauge bars at the top of the screen indicate special techniques available. Some units use just one orb per special, while others use more (up to five, for extremely powerful spells/buffs). When the gauge fills up, a new orb appears. The gauge bar fills up slowly over time, but fills faster when your unit is attacked or killed.
8. Each unit has a unique special ability according to its class and orbs available. Special techniques are very powerful and can turn the tides of war. You should be ready to collect orbs and use the proper special technique according to your situation in battle.
9. When you progress in battle and anihilate the entire enemy team, you win. Because the healer unit has no means of attack, a team is considered destroyed even if it has a healer still alive. With the compensation obtained from victory, you should upgrade your units and get ready for the next battle.
10. In the beginning you won't be able to use all eight units. You should upgrade your available units with the war funds obtained from battle, and you'll be able to use the locked units upon meeting the unlocking requirements. This configuration is a sort of growth tree.

Introduce of Unit

The Soldier is the most basic of units. Its low fitness and attack power is compensated by a low personnel draft number and ability to sniff out mines and hidden ninjas.

Special skill: (uses 1 orb)
Glare attack – a powerful attack to one enemy.

Passive skill: (always)
Search – locate hidden ninjas or enemy mines within two spaces of unit.

2. Archer

The Archer is the most basic of the long-ranged units. It can attack the enemy from a distance, but with the fatal defect that it cannot attack an enemy unit directly beside it. A low personnel draft number compensates for the low strength of this unit.

Special skill: (uses 1 orb)
Longbow shot – a strong attack useful when the enemy is just out of range.

Passive skill: (for every attack)
Poison – a 5% possibility of poisoning the enemy with each attack.

3. Thief

One of the most stealthy units is the Thief, who is best suited for dirty behind the scenes work. This unit has a weak basic attack, but its high mobility and mine-laying ability make it particularly deadly in lower-level combat.

Special skill: (uses 1 orb)
Mine drop – install a mine nearly undetectable to the enemy force; the first unit (friend or foe) to step over the mine gets delt 40 damage; can be detected by enemy Soldier units.

Passive skill: (for every attack)
Poison – a 5% possibility of poisoning the enemy with each attack.

4. Healer

The Healer has little mobility and no means of attack, but its recovering abilities are critical in higher-level combat. Its powerful buffing spells often make the difference between victory or defeat. Remember that a force is considered destroyed if only the healer is left standing.

Special skills:
Multi-heal (uses 1 orb) – tends to the wounds of its allies (or enemies) within 3 spaces.
Berserker (uses 2 orbs) – a buff for the entire force, increasing attack power by 50% for 5 turns.
Protection (uses 3 orbs) – a buff for the entire force, allowing each unit to dodge one attack.
Rebirth (uses 4 orbs) – revives all units with tombs still present.
Miracle (uses 5 orbs) – fully recovers all units' HP, revives all units in tombs, then randomly grants one buff to each unit.
Passive skill: (every turn)
Charging ether – for every turn passed, additional ether is gathered.

5. Sorcerer

The Sorcerer can summon a powerful arsenal of spells, with various elements creating deadly chaos. Low agility is its debilitating flaw: there is a great delay before the unit can be used again.

Special skills:
Multi-fire ball (uses 1 orb) – flame damage to various units (friend or foe) within 2 spaces.
Toxic cloud (uses 2 orbs) – poisonous cloud damage to various units (friend or foe) within 2 spaces.
Thunderstorm (uses 3 orbs) – lightning damage to various units (friend or foe) within 3 spaces.
Charm (uses 4 orbs) – sneaky; pursuades one enemy unit within 3 spaces to switch from enemy to ally.
Meteor (uses 5 orbs) – a giant meteor falls on the entire field of battle, generating massive damage to the enemy.
Passive skill: (every turn)
Charging ether – for every turn passed, additional ether is gathered.

 6. Gunner

A very effective long-range unit, the Gunner can pick enemy units off before they have a chance to retaliate. Its powerful special skill produces a deadly head shot if your timing is right. Perhaps the only weakness of this unit is its significant delay between actions, but such a powerful gun takes time to reload.

Special skill: (uses 1 orb)
Sniper shot – a deadly head shot with the right timing.
Passive skill: (for every attack)
Bleeding – each shot has a 5% chance to cause bleeding, causing 1/4 damage of the enemy HP for 5 turns.

7. Knight

The leader of the war, the Knight stands tall on the frontlines of battle. An incredibly long reach grants this unit the ability to attack two spaces in front. With both the highest attack and defensive powers of all units, the Knight is a brutal asset. Add to that a high mobility and the counterattack ability, and this unit has the enemy on the retreat.

Special skill: (uses 1 orb)
Spearhead – a piercing strike to one or two enemies.

Passive skill: (constant)
Counter-attack – instantly returns a strike when attacked.

8. Ninja

The Ninja is a silent assassin designed to flank the enemy and delivers critical hits from behind. This specialist of speed has the highest agility and mobility of the units, allowing a quick approach and merciless finish to any long-ranged enemy units in the backfield. The invisibility skill allows the Ninja to avoid attack as it slips through the frontlines.
Special skill: (uses 1 orb)
Invisibility – avoid enemy detection; attacking an enemy unit while invisible causes 250% damage; can be detected by enemy Soldier units.
Passive skill: (constant)
Counter-attack – instantly returns a strike when attacked.
